Kick Off
The race is on . . . we kicked off the season today at Clif Bar in Berkeley. It began with an overwhelming dose of enthusiasm and information, and ended with a video giving us a glimpse of the life-changing journey ahead. I am excited to get to know the people who will become my "secret weapons" on race day . . . my teammates, coaches and mentor. Go Team.

I don't know if you remember me but my name is Rick Cowley, I went to Torrey Pines, Mike D. forwarded your blog info to me. I wanted to thank you for doing the ironman to raise money for cancer research. I had leukemia when I was 21 and got better, thanks to some miracle drugs that were approved 5 years before. I'm glad I'm still alive to say 'you can do it!' Charge on!
